Academic Department
This Department will perform the following functions: -
- To oversee students’ admission and examination processes;
- To liaise with Academic Department on matters of admission and registration of students;
- To oversee updating and production of academic Almanac, training manuals and annual Prospectus;
- To maintain and update current and continuing student records with all aspects towards completion and award;
- To support and serve all current and former students with integrity and equity using all Agency policies and relative laws;
- To process administrative matters relating to the functions of academic department, and Examination Committees functions;
- To ensure handling of academic awards;
- To oversee processing of applications, selection and admission of students;
- To be in-charge of students’ orientation programmes;
- To coordinate the evaluation and recording of all transfer course credit for transfer students and continuing/readmit students, course substitutions, and course waivers;
- To work collaboratively with other departments/units to determine the academic status of students and assist in resolving complex student issues;
- Organize trainings for newly recruited employees so as to enhance their capabilities; and
- To advise the Deputy Principal - ARC on all matters related to students’ admission and examinations.
